Arkansas Heart Hospital is equipped for the diagnosis and treatment of Peripheral Vascular Disease / Arterial Disease (PVD/PAD). Peripheral vascular disease is arteriosclerosis or “hardening of the arteries” in the extremities. PAD is a disease of the blood vessels that leads to narrowing and hardening of the arteries that supply the legs and feet. This decreases blood flow, which can injure nerves and other tissues.
Often, symptoms affect one limb. If arteriosclerosis is in both limbs, the intensity is usually different in each.
You do not have to live with leg pain. If you have these symptoms, contact a physician. Click here for a list of physicians on the active medical staff at Arkansas Heart Hospital.
