Dr. Stewart is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease and Interventional Cardiology. He attended Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans, graduating in 1994. In 1997, he completed an Internship and Residency in Internal Medicine at Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma, WA. Dr. Stewart completed his Cardiovascular Fellowship at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Honolulu, where he served as Director of the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory, coordinated the Cardiovascular Medical Education Program and championed the “Get with the Guidelines” program. Dr. Stewart has been involved in numerous research projects, including the National Registry of Myocardial Infarction (NRMI) and has published in leading medical journals.
