Dr. Thaxton was born and raised in Malvern, AR. He attended Louisiana Tech University where he graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in mathematics and played baseball. He attended UAMS for medical school and then completed his residency in Family Medicine at Research Medical Center in Kansas City where he served as Chief Resident. After residency, he returned to his home town where he has been in practice since 2009. He serves as Hot Spring County Health Officer. Dr. Thaxton and his wife enjoy travelling, playing sports, and coaching their children in their many activities.
