Julia was born in Little Rock, AR and raised in DeWitt, AR. Her 25 years of nursing experienceincludes five years of Critical Care and 20 years of Emergency Medicine. Currently she works in the Emergency Room at Arkansas Heart Hospital as a Nurse Practitioner. She obtained her BSN from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and her DNP from the University of TN Health Science Center with a double major in Family Nurse Practitioner and Adult-Geriatric Acute Care Nurse Practitioner. She graduated a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society in 2017. She is an active member of the following organizations: Arkansas Nurse Practitioner Associationwhere she serves on the Board of Directors and Conference Committee Co-chair, Arkansas Nurses Association where she served as Central Arkansas Ambassador at the 2017 State Conference, American Association of Nurse Practitioners where she serves as Conference Assistant at the annual member conference, Sigma Theta Tau Gamma Xi chapter where she is a member of the Service Committee, & a member of the American Nurses Association. She is a clinical instructor for UAMS College of Nursing and Training Center Faculty for UAMS AHA program in PALS, ACLS, and BLS. During her free time, Julia enjoys being with her family (especially her two grandsons) and spending time outdoors or traveling.
