Michael David Huber, MD

Dr. Michael Huber is a cardiologist, with a focus on diagnostic cardiology, nuclear cardiology and transesophageal echocardiogram (TEE) procedures, which use sound waves to assess the heart. He leads the Arkansas Heart pharmacy and therapeutics committee and congestive heart failure recovery program, where he specializes in the implantation of Cardiomems, a heart failure management device.

Dr. Huber is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease and nuclear cardiology. He earned his medical degree at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences before completing an internal medicine residency at Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu and his cardiology fellowship at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio. Before joining the Arkansas Heart team, Dr. Huber served as staff cardiologist and director of the cardiac catheterization lab at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center in Germany, caring for acutely ill soldiers sent from Iraq and Afghanistan.

Recognized for his strong judgment and medical expertise, Dr. Huber enjoys making a difference in patients’ lives and is passionate about heart disease prevention and management of heart failure.

Why did you choose to go into medicine?

The practice of medicine was a true calling, and I am very fortunate for both the journey and the destination of my career. It is a pleasure to serve the citizens of Arkansas and work with the amazing staff and physicians at Arkansas Heart Hospital.
