Oscar Talledo, MD

Dr. Talledo is originally from Lima, Peru, where he completed medical school at Universidad de San Martin de Porres. After earning his M.D., he moved to the United States to pursue surgical training. He completed a surgical internship at Duke Hospital in North Carolina and continued his training with a general surgery residency at the University of Oklahoma Health and Science Center. From there, Dr. Talledo pursued a fellowship in Minimally Invasive Surgery and Bariatrics at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. He is licensed by the State of Arkansas Medical Board and is board certified by the American Board of Surgery.

In addition to helping patients improve their health and achieve their goals, Dr. Talledo also is interested in organizations that cleanup our oceans. In his free time, he enjoys hiking, exercise, watching movies and discovering new restaurants.

The most rewarding thing about being a physician is helping people in the most personal and sensitive area of their lives: their health. It’s very rewarding, and as a surgeon, you get to see the impact you’ve had in their lives in a very short period.
