Dr. Paulo Ribeiro, who is board certified in cardiology, was most recently a professor of medicine and director of the cardiology fellowship program at Loma Linda University Medical Center in California. He received his medical degree in 1977 from Universidade do Porto in Portugal and his Ph.D. in 1992 from Universidade Nova De Lisboa. He completed his internal medicine residency and fellowship in cardiology in 1984 at the Royal Postgraduate Medical School at Hammersmith Hospital in London.

He is a fellow in the American College of Cardiology and the European Society of Cardiology and has published 130 manuscripts and 34 papers in peer-reviewed cardiology journals. In addition, Dr. Ribeiro has published seven book chapters, including one in Dr. Eric Topol’s Textbook of Interventional Cardiology. He has been a reviewer for the Journal of the American College of Cardiology, British Heart Journal, American Journal of Cardiology and European Heart Journal.
