Shift: 8hr shift

Cardiovascular Technologist or Radiology Technologist with essential Cath Lab training to function independently during cases without a preceptor while using proper sterile technique, radiation safety, and proficiency in procedure data recording. Must be able to communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, other staff, management, and hospital employees of all areas. Performs diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterizations and other related procedures. Inserts small catheters through a needle into the blood vessels and into the heart so that X-rays, angiograms and other recordings can be taken to determine the heart’s structure and function. Assist physicians with patient monitoring during surgery or procedures. Documents evaluation results, progress reports, and other data using appropriate EMR system. Reports to the Director of Surgical Services.  Full time shift with after-hours call required.  Must be able to respond to the facility within 30 minutes.
