Position Summary

The Marketing Intern will assist the Marketing and Communications department in various tasks and projects aimed at promoting Arkansas Heart Hospital’s services, enhancing the brand image, and engaging with the community. This internship offers an excellent opportunity for a marketing enthusiast to gain practical experience in the healthcare industry while working on a wide range of initiatives.

Work Schedule

This role requires a commitment of 10-20 hours per week. Schedule and work location to be discussed with hiring manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Content Creation: Assist in creating compelling content for digital and print marketing materials, including blog posts, social media updates, newsletters, and brochures.
  • Social Media Management: Help manage and maintain the hospital’s social media profiles, including posting updates, monitoring engagement, and responding to comments and messages.
  • Market Research: Conduct research on industry trends, competitive analysis, and patient demographics to inform marketing strategies.
  • Event Support: Assist in planning, organizing, and promoting hospital events, including health fairs, seminars, and community outreach programs.
  • Email Marketing: Support the development and execution of email marketing campaigns to communicate with patients, staff, and the community.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze marketing performance data, track key metrics, and provide insights to improve marketing strategies.
  • Graphic Design: Collaborate with the design team to create visually appealing marketing materials, including flyers, posters, and digital graphics.
  • Photography and Videography: Assist in capturing photos and videos during events and promotional activities.
  • Administrative Tasks: Provide general administrative support to the marketing team, including scheduling meetings, maintaining calendars, and organizing files.

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Basic knowledge of graphic design and video editing tools is a plus.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and marketing analytics.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
