Meet our Cardiovascular Surgeons

Dr. Michael T. Nolen, cardiothoracic surgeon and director of cardiovascular surgery, has interests in minimally invasive surgery, coronary bypass and valve surgery, aortic aneurysm repairs and peripheral vascular surgery. He completed his medical degree and general surgery internship at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and completed the cardiovascular and thoracic fellowship at the Texas Heart Institute.

Dr. Kristofer Freeland cardiothoracic surgeon and assistant director of cardiovascular surgery, has interests in coronary vascularization, structural heart disease including the TAVR procedure as well as aortic pathology. He attended medical school at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and completed his general surgery residency at Louisiana State University in Shreveport.

Dr. Galimat Khaidakova, vascular surgeon, specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of vascular conditions – including arterial and venous disease, aneurysms, carotid artery disease and chronic limb ischemia – utilizing both traditional open surgery and advanced minimally invasive techniques.

Dr. Scott Ryan, a fellowship-trained vascular surgeon, specializes in both open and minimally invasive procedures and is committed to providing individualized care for patients with various vascular conditions.
