Dr. Daniel Sherbet is an interventional cardiologist caring for patients with all forms of heart disease and vascular disease. A native Texan, he earned an M.D. with Distinction in Research at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School, where he was also a Howard Hughes Medical Institute medical student research fellow. He completed a residency in internal medicine and fellowships in cardiology and interventional cardiology at UT Southwestern, where he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. He is board certified in internal medicine and cardiovascular disease.
Dr. Sherbet is an expert in heart catheterization and procedures for opening blockages of the heart arteries and the arteries of the legs. He has a clinical interest in disorders of cholesterol metabolism and resultant atherosclerosis of the arteries – an interest that began during his time as a research fellow in the laboratory of Nobel laureates Michael Brown and Joseph Goldstein at UT Southwestern.
Dr. Sherbet and his wife, Dr. Monica Lo, also a cardiologist for Arkansas Heart Hospital, enjoy traveling, exploring their new home state of Arkansas and spending time with their young daughter.
