UPDATE 4/18/2022:

We are exploring options to reschedule Cardiac Classic in 2022 and will update registered participants once decisions are made. We appreciate your patience and understanding.

UPDATE 4/16/2022:

For the safety of our riders and volunteers, the Cardiac Classic and lunch have been cancelled due to inclement weather and road conditions. We will be in touch in the coming week with all registered participants about future event plans once those have been determined. We ask for you to please hold questions about credits and refunds until those decisions are made.

UPDATE 4/15/2022:

We are carefully monitoring weather conditions for tomorrow’s Cardiac Classic. Decisions to delay or cancel the event will not be made until Saturday morning to ensure we have the most accurate, up-to-date information.  If the weather requires changes, we will communicate in the following ways:

The 10th Anniversary Cardiac Classic is coming April 16, 2022

Arkansas Heart Hospital is hosting the 10th-anniversary Cardiac Classic, which spotlights the role that physical activity plays in our cardiovascular health.

Register here for the Cardiac Classic:

  • $60 Early Bird Registration through March 16
  • $75 General Registration March 17 – April 15

Considered one of the premier cycling events in the region, Cardiac Classic offers four route lengths: 20 miles, 30 miles, 50 miles and 100k. Check-in and day-of registration begin at 7:00 a.m. Ride begins at 8:00 a.m.

Weather Policy: The safety of our riders and volunteers is our priority. Weather-related event decisions will not be made until the morning of the event and are guided by our weather policies. Any actions taken in response to various weather conditions will be communicated publicly on our Facebook event page as well as this page, arheart.com/classic.

  • Rain: In the event of light to moderate rain, and no lightning, we will proceed with the event as long as road conditions are safe for participants, police and volunteers.
  • Severe Thunderstorm Warning: If we are under a severe thunderstorm warning, the ride will be postponed until the warning is canceled, up to one hour.
  • Lightning: In the event of lightning, the event will go on a weather hold for up to one hour.
  • Tornado Warning: If at any time before or during the event, a tornado warning is issued, the ride will be canceled.
  • If weather conditions prevent race staff and volunteers from completing set up in a timely manner, the ride could also be delayed.

Note: If the start is delayed over two hours, the cycling portion of the event will be canceled but we will serve lunch at 11 a.m. We invite you to join us for the chef-prepared meal and comradery with cycling friends in the covered building at Heifer International.
